胡小平博士(Xiaoping P. Hu, PHD)

Professor and Georgia Research Alliance Eminent Scholar in Imaging, Coulter Dept of Biomedical Engineering at Georgia Tech and Emory University

Director, Biomedical Imaging Technology Center of Emory University

IEEE fellow, AIMBE fellow, ISMRM fellow.

Dr. Hus work focuses on the noninvasive mapping of brain activity and has achieved several outstanding results in the connectivity of the brain network by functional MRI. He has published over 200 peer reviewed papers. As a distinguished scientist with H-index of 53, his work has been cited over 9,000 times. He is also the deputy Editor of Magnetic Resonance in Medicine and the associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Medical Imaging.

 

课程大纲:

 

Course Schedule 07/22/13-07/26/13

Day 1 (Mon 07/22/13)

Recon basics
Lecture: Review of Fourier encoding, recon basics,  and practical pitfalls
Lab: simulations, examining the effects of k-space coverage vs. FOV and spatial resolution, Fourier shift theorem, and phase imaging

Day 2 (Tue 07/23/13)

Advanced Recon
Lecture: SNR, Filtering, and half Fourier
Lab: SNR, voxel size and acquisition; half Fourier recon
Lecture: Noncartesian reconstruction: EPI sequence basics Zig-zagged EPI, EPI with ramp sampling, ghost correction, and distortion correction
Lab: sinc-interpolation of ramp sampling data and ghost reduction

Day 3 (Wed 07/24/13)

Noncartesian reconstruction

Lecture: spiral sequence basics, spiral and projection , gridding, and correction for field inhomogeneity
Lab: density weighting and gridding

Day 4 (Thu 07/25/13)

Parallel imaging
Lecture: basics, SENSE, GRAPPA
Lab: g-factor calculation, GRAPPA optimization

Day 5 (Fri 07/26/13)

Final project presentation

Divided into groups with projects assigned on day 1 and due before day 5
