Title: Atlas-based analysis and BrainQuant – an automated brain analysis solution
Abstract: Segmentation of brain anatomical regions and tractography has been widely used to quantitatively analyze the status of the white matter anatomy in a tract-specific manner in many types of diseases. However, the definition of regions of interest (ROIs) mainly relies on a time-consuming manual delineation in clinical practice, which involves subjective judgment and non-reproducibility. In this talk, the atlas-based approach for automated whole brain segmentation and quantification will be introduced. This approach can be applied on tractography-based brain connectivity analysis. Besides, BrainQuant was developed to implement the atlas based analysis as part of clinical solution in Philips Healthcare Suzhou.
Yajing Zhang, PhD
Resume: Yajing Zhang earned PhD degree in biomedical engineering in Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, where she worked as a postdoc focusing on MR atlas-based analysis of human brain. Yajing joined Philips Healthcare (Suzhou) as clinical scientist since 2013 and has been engaged in the development of MR clinical solutions on brain, prostate and liver diseases.
