Welcome to Advanced MRI Technique Laboratory

Clinical magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) concerns accurate and reliable localization, detection, and tissue characterization with simple procedures. Besides structural information, quantitative or functional information becomes more and more important in the clinical practice. In accordance with the clinical demands and imaging research, our primary interest in MRI focuses on two core areas: MRI physics including novel sequence design and image reconstruction, which can potentially provide high spatiotemporal resolution and high fidelity multi-parametric quantitative imaging or novel functional contrast, and its application for accurate diagnosis and disease management. In particular, we are interested in developing new techniques for diffusion weighted imaging and applying them in neuroscience and body. Working with our collaborators, we also develop and optimize novel techniques for early stage disease detection, treatment monitoring and understanding of the underlying physiology and pathology.
